The Mathematical Modeling and Simulation of a New Mitigation System Including a Remote Impoundment

After the occurrence of a hydrogen fluoride leakage accident that triggered massive losses in Gumi, South Korea 2012, government and companies have been interested installing mitigation systems to minimize loss accident. What lacks previous researches studying is an evaluation how much system can reduce impact accidents. Therefore, modeling-based simulations should be urgently developed analysis performance system. This study aims design amount materials leaked outside when storage tank occurs determine its specifications through use modeling. The basic concept occurs, material dike drained remote impoundment installed under ground, while vessel transferred reserve by pump at same time. To evaluate efficacy proposed system, two case studies are tested. simulation results indicate contribute reduction dispersion area for as well large material.
